Volunteer

There are so many ways to get involved! Using your experience, skills, passion and abilities, we can find the perfect way for YOU to help our animals and staff here at Green County Humane Society!

Our Highest Need Positions:

Housekeeping Assistant: Looking for a good, clean opportunity to help animals? Our housekeeping staff needs help keeping up with the dishes, laundry, and light cleaning all throughout the building.

Front Office Assistant: Do you have experience with clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, scanning, answering phones, and greeting visitors? If so, we have plenty of opportunities for you at our front desk assisting our receptionists.

Dog Kennel Opener: Our dedicated dog staffers need help from 8:00am-12:00pm every morning moving dogs to outdoor kennels and cleaning inside kennels. We are looking for volunteers willing and able to help provide clean spaces for our dogs. Even committing to just one morning a week is a great help!

Cat Kennel Opener: Our hard-working cat staff need help cleaning the cat condos in our front adoption rooms from 8:00am-12:00pm daily. You will also have opportunity to socialize cats during this time. Purrs of gratitude and ears to scratch await as a "thank you" for helping keep our cat rooms cleaned to purr-fection. Like the dog kennel opener, even just one morning a week is a great help!
