Adoption Process
Due to Covid-19, the shelter is open by appointment only. If you’re interested in adopting an animal, please follow the steps below.
1. Fill out an online application. Use the buttons to the right.
2. Appointments are available Wednesdays through Sundays from 12:00pm-5:00pm. E-mail us at shelter@greencountyhumane.org or call (608) 325-9600 to let us know when you're available for an appointment. Staff will respond to confirm the appointment.
3. Come meet the dog or cat you are interested in at your designated time. If you are interested in meeting more than one animal, you only need to let us know.
